Welcome, iris enthusiasts, to Region 20 of the American Iris Society in Colorado! We are a nonprofit organization that promotes the appreciation and culture of irises. Members receive national bulletins and information about national conventions. Local clubs have newsletters, iris shows, plant sales, garden tours and meetings with guest speakers.

Saturday, April 9th, 12:00 p.m.
The Mountains & Plains Iris Society will hold its Spring Meeting at Mitchel Hall in the Denver Botanic Gardens. There will be a short business meeting that will include election of officers. Nominations will be accepted from the floor. The program will consist of four short presentations covering all aspects of iris culture in Colorado. Topics will include, soils, fertilizers, transplanting, classes of bearded iris, arilbred, and species irises. Speakers will be Lowell Baumunk, Catherine Gates, Bob Van Liere and Steve Blecher. The presentations will be followed by a question, answer, and helpful hints session
The Club will be serving lunch, but attendees are invited to bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Guests are welcome.
