American Iris Society - Colorado Region 20
Calendar of Events for 2010
Region 20 includes all of Colorado. Mountains & Plains Iris Society events are in Denver. Elmohr Iris Society events are in Colorado Springs and Loomis Iris Society events are in Rocky Ford, Ordway, or Pueblo. For more information, call the contact person shown at the bottom of this page. Mountains and Plains Iris Society Spring Meeting
Location: Mitchel Hall in the Denver Botanic Gardens
There will be a short business meeting that will include election of officers. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.
Speakers: Lowell Baumunk, Catherine Gates, Bob Van Liere and Steve Blecher. The program will consist of four short presentations covering all aspects of iris culture in Colorado. Topics will include, soils, fertilizers, transplanting, classes of bearded iris, arilbred, and species irises.
The presentations will be followed by a question, answer, and helpful hints session.
The Club will be serving lunch, but attendees are invited to bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Guests are welcome.
